Cambridge Santa Parade

The 2017 Cambridge Santa Claus Parade is SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18th at 6:00 p.m. on Hespeler Rd.

 

Registrations will be on line in July 2017

 

Getting to the Marshalling Area

  • Enter the marshalling area at Langs Drive and Industrial Rd., as seen on your map
  • Report to the Marshal in a green vest whose number corresponds to the section number you have been given.
  • Follow the marshals' directions for placement in the lineup.

The map shows the location of the sections, the marshalling area, parade route, and disbanding area. Note: that the parade route makes a full loop; you will end up back where you started. Click here for the map.

Parking

There will be no vehicular traffic within the marshalling area other than the actual floats. Car-pool close to the area; walk-in your float participants! After unloading, vehicles should continue directly to parking in nearby lots to wait for the parade to finish. Note: Please respect the wishes of private parking lots & property owners.

Washrooms

There will be portable washrooms available in the line-up area.

Parade Headquarters

The parade headquarters will be at the entrance to the public works yard on Dunbar Rd. All section marshals are in radio contact with the base. It is for emergencies only.

Telephone

There are public payphones at Cambridge Centre, the Dunbar Plaza, and throughout the route.

PARADE RULES

The authority of the Parade Marshal is absolute in all matters pertaining to the marshaling area, parade route, and dispersal time. The Parade Marshal will wear an green safety vest.

REFUSAL TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTION OF PARADE OFFICIALS
WILL RESULT IN THE IMMEDIATE EXPULSION
OF THE OFFENDING UNIT FROM THE PARADE.

BE SURE TO READ ALL OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS!

INFORMATION

The parade will move onto Hespeler Rd. from Dunbar Rd. at 6:00 p.m. sharp! It will turn off Hespeler Road at Langs drive and loop back to Industrial Road where it will disband. You are to proceed to the same location you began in to avoid congestion of those behind you.

If a float/vehicle breaks down, move it to the side of the road. There will be a vehicle available to assist if necessary. A marshal can reach it by radio.

Please be flexible and courteous to all parade personnel and entries. Offenders risk not being invited back in future years.
